Dynapower Ships First Storage Inverter System Under Intertek's SATELLITE(TM) Data Acceptance Program

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT--(Marketwired - Mar 18, 2015) - Dynapower Company, the global leader in energy storage inverters, announced that it has shipped its first inverter to be ETL-certified under Intertek's SATELLITE™ test-data-acceptance program. Dynapower is the only energy storage inverter manufacturer to receive ETL certification through Intertek's SATELLITE™ program.

The first inverter to be certified under this program is a Dynapower IPS-500, a 500 kW model. It is being installed as part of an integrated solar power-plus-storage system that will generate revenue in the PJM grid territory through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and participation in the frequency regulation market.

Intertek's SATELLITE™ test-data-acceptance program adds speed, flexibility, and cost effectiveness to the product development process by accepting Dynapower's internal laboratory testing data. Dynapower's laboratory and quality system has met the strict standards of the program, enabling the company to streamline performance testing of its market-leading energy storage inverters as part of the product development process.

As an accredited SATELLITE™ member, Dynapower can conduct compliance testing at its in-house testing facility in South Burlington, Vermont, and submit the resulting data to Intertek in pursuit of ETL certification. The ETL Mark is proof of product compliance to North American safety standards (including UL 1741 and IEEE 1547), and is the fastest growing safety certification in North America.

"Dynapower inverters are recognized for their high quality and performance, and we are proud to partner with Intertek, a global industry authority that shares our commitment to product excellence," said Adam Knudsen, Dynapower President. "By joining the SATELLITE™ program, we will improve efficiencies in testing of off-the shelf and custom-engineered products, accelerating time to market and customer deliveries."

"Both Intertek and Dynapower are dedicated to providing quality performance to the energy sector," said Nimer Al-Hafi, President of the Products business unit at Intertek. "We congratulate Dynapower on the successful completion of their first project with the SATELLITE™ program, and look forward to working with them in the future."
