E! Brings Water Cooler Talk to TV With "The Daily 10"

Hosts Debbie Matenopoulus, Catt Sadler, Sal Masekela Bring Viewers Everything That Hollywood Is Buzzing About Daily Starting March 27th on E!

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 17, 2006 -- We all do it . . . stand around the water cooler and talk about the hottest new places, the must-see moments from television, and the latest celebrity gossip that people are buzzing about. Now, E! Entertainment Television is bringing water cooler talk to television with a brand-new, fast-paced, half-hour show called "The Daily 10" that is sure to keep even the most obsessed pop culture addicts up-to-date. Hosted by Debbie Matenopoulus ("The View"), Catt Sadler ("Fox Morning News" and Sal Masekela ("X Games") and led by veteran producer Robert Lifton, this nightly entertainment show, with its unique blend of hip attitude, conversational style and a dash of irreverence, will bring viewers the scoop before the magazines even have it. "The Daily 10" premieres on Monday, March 27th at 7:30PM ET/PT, immediately following "E! News."

"The public's fascination with pop culture -- the buzz-worthy scoop happening around us every day that really captures our attention -- has never been greater," said E! President and CEO Ted Harbert. "'The Daily 10' is the best way to get all the top entertainment information you can find online, in magazines and on blogs -- in one easy package. Monday through Friday, 'The Daily 10' will bring the attitude, edge and information that really speaks to E! viewers."

Each episode of "The Daily 10" will highlight not only the top ten stories of the day, but will include a jam-packed potpourri of all the latest pop culture information that is capturing the public's attention, making it the perfect companion to "E! News." Those ten stories will be supplemented with a variety of segments that will become daily staples on the show. Some are guest-driven and some are topic-driven, but all will feature what's-hot-this-minute!

The three hosts, Debbie Matenopoulos, Catt Sadler and Selema "Sal" Masekela, each bring their own edgy expertise to entertainment reporting. Matenopoulos began her broadcasting career at MTV, and went on to national fame (and two Emmy Award nominations as Outstanding Talk Show Host) as co-host of "The View." Catt Sadler is a seasoned broadcaster who was entertainment reporter at KNTV and KBWB-TV in San Francisco and, most recently, anchor for the "Fox 50 Morning News" in Indianapolis. The son of legendary South African jazz great Hugh Masekela, Sal Masekela is one of action sport's most sought-after and engaging on-screen talents. His debut in the 1998 snowboarding documentary "Snow Taxi" captured the attention of Fox Sports executives, who put him on the air and set a broadcasting career in motion. Since then, Sal has hosted both the Winter and Summer X Games for the past five consecutive years.

Robert Lifton serves as Executive Producer on "The Daily 10," bringing his own style and expertise to the new show. Lifton began his career out of Northwestern journalism school (master's) as an award-winning sportswriter in North Carolina. He moved on to become a producer and writer for "Access Hollywood," and then returned to sports as a producer on ESPN's hit news series "SportsCenter." Most recently he served as Executive Producer on "The Best Damn Sports Show Period."
