E-Commerce Place Wins Building of the Year

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 24, 2009) - The Canderel Group of Companies is proud to announce that at the BOMA Quebec Annual Gala the prize for BOMA Building of the Year 2009-2010 was awarded to the E-Commerce Place in the category of buildings 500,000 to 1,000,000 square feet. E-Commerce Place is now up for consideration in the national award to be announced at the Bomex 2009 conference being held this year in Montreal in September.

"This award carries great significance as it is a testament to the value added by Canderel's property management team." says Jonathan Wener, Chairman of Canderel. "We are extremely honoured to have received this award and recognition must go to the owner of the property Kanam Grund who share our vision of providing service to our clients at the highest level."

The nominees for the award were evaluated on the basis of 11 criteria mostly relating to impact on the community, tenant relations, energy conservation, environmental practices, security and staff training.

Canderel was mandated in June of 2008 by the owner of the E-Commerce Place, KanAm Grund Kapitalanlagegesellschaft, a Frankfurt based leading German open ended fund initiator with over EUR6,470,000,000.00 of real estate under management worldwide, to act as the property manager for the complex.

The Canderel Group of Companies is comprised of several fully integrated, commercial real estate companies with its headquarters in Montreal. Since 1975, Canderel has grown to become one of the most successful real estate development and management organizations in eastern Canada. Founded by Jonathan Wener, Canderel has established an enviable reputation for its integrity as a major real estate development company and for its sound judgment and knowledge of the commercial, multi-residential and industrial real estate business.

Over the years, Canderel has been intimately involved in all aspects of commercial property development, including land assembly, acquisition and disposal, planning, design, construction, project management, leasing, finance, and property management, and asset management. The group's principal management and development activities are in the office, commercial, industrial and residential markets of Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver, in Canada. Canderel's success to date is largely a reflection of its unique ability to direct all facets of real estate projects, either on its own behalf, for its clients, or in joint venture with partners.
