e-Security Announces Sentinel AP, Security Information Management Appliance

e-Security Is Only SIM Vendor to Offer Complete Deployment Flexibility -- From an Appliance to Extensible Enterprise Software

VIENNA, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 13, 2006 -- e-Security, the leading supplier of security information management and continuous compliance monitoring solutions, today announced Sentinel AP, a new security information management (SIM) appliance. Based on Sentinel 5, e-Security's award-winning SIM software, Sentinel AP includes the hardware and software necessary to monitor, analyze and report on security and compliance events and enable organizations to respond to threats more effectively. e-Security is the only SIM vendor to offer complete deployment flexibility -- from an appliance to extensible enterprise software.

"e-Security has a proven track record with the largest, most complex enterprises," said Chuck Teubner, CEO of e-Security, Inc. "Sentinel AP appliance, the newest member of the Sentinel family of products, builds on the success of Sentinel 5 and enables mid-sized organizations and departments of larger enterprises to quickly and easily deploy a comprehensive security information management solution."

"e-Security truly understands the needs of the market and has continually provided leading SIM solutions to help organizations manage risk more effectively," said George Hamilton, Director, Enterprise Computing & Networking of the Yankee Group. "With Sentinel AP, e-Security continues that trend. e-Security's strategy of offering both an easy-to-deploy appliance to meet the needs of medium-size businesses or company departments and enterprise software to meet the needs of the largest, most complex organizations is unique in this industry and offers companies and government agencies of any size well-needed functionality and flexibility."

Sentinel AP provides:

-- Quick and Easy Deployment to Achieve Immediate Results
    -- Sentinel ConnectIT™, a built-in configuration tool, enables
security professionals to quickly and easily connect Sentinel
        AP to their network.
-- System self-health monitoring provides easy maintenance and
        service.
-- Automated data management eliminates the need for a database
administrator by minimizing the number of manual procedures
and tasks typically required to manage volumes of security data.
-- Rack-mountable all-in-one appliance comes with all the necessary
hardware and software to deploy a SIM solution.
-- Cost-Effective Security Information Management
-- Enables medium-sized organizations and departments of larger
enterprises or government agencies with limited budget and
resources to deploy leading security information management
        capabilities.
-- Complete Deployment Flexibility
-- As with Sentinel 5, Sentinel AP can be deployed as a comprehensive,
stand-alone SIM solution. Additionally, Sentinel AP will be able to
be extended with Sentinel 5 across the organization to meet
evolving departmental- and enterprise-level requirements. Sentinel
5 will aggregate and consolidate security and compliance events
collected by distributed Sentinel AP appliances and provide the
extensibility and scalability required by larger enterprises.
Sentinel AP will be sold by e-Security's worldwide reseller network and the company's direct sales force. "e-Security has an established reseller program and we are also working with Microsoft Corporation to identify additional certified partners to expand the channel for Sentinel AP," added Mr. Teubner.

"We see 2006 as a significant growth area for SIM solutions," said Paul Adamonis, Manager, Security Technology Solutions of Forsythe Solutions Group, a technology solutions provider. "We believe a SIM appliance such as Sentinel AP offers companies the flexibility they are looking for to quickly deploy a SIM solution and then extend that solution as enterprise requirements evolve. As a new e-Security partner, we are excited about the opportunity in front of us."

"Civilian, defense, and intelligence agencies alike are looking for a cost-effective yet comprehensive SIM solution to help protect critical IT infrastructure from threats and attacks from both within and outside the government," said Len Kaplan, Senior Vice President of Government Micro Resources, Inc., a leading government IT solutions and services provider and e-Security reseller. "e-Security has a proven track record in the government and we believe that Sentinel AP will build on that success."

"Security Information Management adoption is accelerating in the European market," said Barry Phillips, Vice President of Selesta, an established international e-Security reseller. "Companies of all sizes are looking for this kind of technology to help them manage risk more effectively. Sentinel AP enables us to reach a broader market and offer medium-size businesses, as well as larger enterprises, a compelling SIM solution to quickly and cost-effectively address their requirements."

Prices for Sentinel AP start at $30,000. General availability is planned for the end of May 2006.
