eCopy™ Document Imaging Software Receives Highest Ratings in Buyers Lab Evaluation

Prestigious Five-Star Ratings Recognize eCopy's Excellence in Document Imaging Software

NASHUA, NH--(Marketwire - October 9, 2007) - eCopy, Inc., a leading provider of solutions that integrate paper documents into business software applications, today announced that eCopy document imaging software has received a five-star rating in an independent product evaluation from Buyer's Lab Inc. (BLI), an office equipment testing authority. The rankings are the highest grades awarded in the rigorous BLI testing process and are a mark of product excellence for eCopy, the leading provider of document imaging software for multifunction printers (MFPs).

Designed to bring paper-based information into electronic workflows, eCopy ShareScan® and eCopy Desktop™ help organizations keep up with the pace of e-business processes. eCopy ShareScan helps organizations improve the speed and productivity of business workflows by easily converting paper-based information into digital documents and securely incorporating them into their business software systems. eCopy Desktop enables users to manage, modify and share scanned paper documents as Portable Document Format (PDF) files the same way they handle other electronic files at their PC desktops.

According to Tim Captain, associate editor at BLI, "In our testing, we found eCopy to have an incredibly simple and intuitive document scanning interface, creating an easy-to-use entry point for paper documents to merge with an organization's digital workflow. Also, eCopy has been aggressive in integrating with other business applications. Impressively, ShareScan is integrated with more applications than any other MFP-based solution. We see significant benefits from eCopy's solutions across a wide range of industries."

In the evaluation performed by BLI, eCopy scored exceptionally well in the categories of Software Integration, Ease of Use and Security. BLI cited excellent software integration capabilities based on eCopy Connectors, which enable users to easily scan documents into document management, content management, email and other business applications directly from the MFP. Over 170 Connectors are currently available, or in development, for applications such as Microsoft SharePoint and Outlook, EMC Documentum, Captaris RightFax and many more.

eCopy document imaging software makes it easy for office workers to use standard scanning procedures on virtually any networked office MFP by providing a standard document capture platform across MFP brands. The software provides organizations with high levels of protection to safeguard intellectual capital and conforms to government and corporate compliance programs, through features such as ShareScan's audit trail capabilities and Desktop's support of PDF permissions and document encryption.

"Buyers Lab is a top independent testing organization respected throughout the office systems market for comprehensive product evaluations," said Vickie Malis, eCopy's vice president of marketing. "BLI provides a very detailed evaluation of the products in the document imaging market. IT professionals can use these reports as helpful tools when selecting MFP document imaging software to streamline workflows, and improve productivity and efficiency."
