Eagle Broadband Wins and Delivers Emergency Communications Contracts to Support a Major International Relief Organization

LEAGUE CITY, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 13, 2007 -- Officials with Eagle Broadband, Inc. (AMEX: EAG), a national provider of broadband, Internet Protocol (IP) and digital communications technology and services, announced today that its IT Services Division has received a series of contracts and has completed the installations of VoIP office support systems at five regional Hurricane-recovery program offices for a world-renown international disaster-relief organization.

The work involved the design, installation and hosting of voice-over-IP services in three Gulf Coast cities and supplying and implementing a premise-based telecommunications system in two additional regional cities. This included network device installation, firewall security, VPN support, and personnel training to all locations.

Eagle offers a range of emergency communications solutions to disaster management organizations, most notably our SatMAX® satellite-based telephony products, but also our voice-over-IP communications solutions. When disaster strikes, relief organizations rely on uninterrupted work flow and on constant access to a powerful emergency communications system that connects them to other emergency response agencies and organizations.

"We are exceptionally proud to have designed and implemented a special telecommunications system that meets their needs today and will serve these broader communities tomorrow should disaster strike," said Dave Micek, CEO of Eagle Broadband. "And we look forward to additional opportunities to implement projects like this for them across the country in other communities. These implementations are further examples of Eagle's expanding delivery of disaster-recovery communications solutions throughout the Gulf Coast region."
