Eagle Energy Trust Appoints Vice President, Business Development and U.S. Controller

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 11, 2011) -Eagle Energy Trust (TSX:EGL.UN)is pleased to announce that the executive team of its U.S. operating subsidiary, Eagle Hydrocarbons LLC, has expanded to include Robert Cunningham as Vice-President, Business Development and Dusty Dumas as U.S. Controller.

Bob and Dusty are based in Houston, Texas. Bob's mandate is to identify, negotiate and diligence acquisition opportunities which are consistent with the Trust's business strategy of acquiring on-shore producing assets in the U.S. that have predictable cash flows and low risk unexploited development and exploitation potential. Dusty will work closely with Eagle's Chief Financial Officer in all areas of financial, reporting, operations, acquisition analysis and land matters.

Bob has over 25 years of oil and gas experience including business development, finance, energy banking and risk management. Most recently, he was Vice President, Finance and Business Development of Zone Energy, LLC, a privately held oil and gas company. Prior positions also include a Senior Vice President in Marsh& McLennan's Energy & Power Group and, at ABN AMRO Bank, a Group Vice President, Exploration & Production and Head of Oil, Gas & Chemicals for Asia Pacific. Bob is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America and serves on the Southeast Regional Board. He is also immediate past President of the Houston Acquisition & Divestiture Forum and previously served as President of the Houston Energy Finance Group. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Houston.

Dusty has over 20 years of financial experience including roles as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for both publicly traded as well as private enterprises. He began his career in public accounting. During his career, Dusty has lead merger and acquisition projects and participated in several public offering transactions. From March 2007 to February 2011, he was an independent business consultant focusing on serving companies in the oil and gas industry. Prior to 2007, he served as the CFO/Controller for a privately held oil and gas company for seven years. Mr. Dumas is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
