Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd.: Fourth Phase 2007 Diamond Drill Program Underway at San Simon Gold Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 30, 2007) - Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd. ("Eaglecrest"; the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:EEL)(FRANKFURT:EAT) is pleased to report that diamond drilling recently resumed in the Trinidad area of the Dona Amelia zone on the San Simon project in northeastern Bolivia.

Diamond drilling commenced with infill drilling of the L463 gold shoot prior to resuming the underground bulk sampling program. The infill drilling will provide additional data to outline areas to target for underground bulk sampling, which will resume in early May. Eaglecrest is focused on obtaining more statistically reliable comparisons between diamond drill hole grades and underground bulk sample grades (see April 9, 2007 news release of preliminary difference).

"In the past four months management has been carefully evaluating exploration data accumulated to date," commented Eaglecrest's President, Hans Rasmussen. "It is essential to bulk sample more diamond drill hole intersections for a statistically reliable comparison of the gold grades. Underground bulk sampling will give us a much clearer understanding of the average in situ gold grade. Through the current diamond drilling and bulk sampling we will be able to define the dimension and average gold grade of the L463 shoot as well as the nearby L484 shoot over the coming months."

The Company has also been completing grass roots exploration of two additional targets located on the San Simon plateau. Geological mapping, grid preparation, rock chip and soil sampling have been done on the Dona Angela zone and the SS-Paititi zone. In the Dona Angela zone, which is located 25 kilometres northwest of the Dona Amelia zone, mapping and soil sampling is focused on a 50 square kilometres plateau with extensive alteration and quartz vein development.

In the SS-Paititi zone, which is located just east of and adjacent to the Dona Amelia zone, ground work is focused on a 21 square kilometre area. Satellite imagery indicates a potential seven-kilometre extension of the thrust fault hosting the Main Structure/Main Quartz vein in the Dona Amelia zone. Soil and rock chip sampling is almost completed with more than 2,300 samples collected to date. All the samples are being shipped to ACME Laboratories in Vancouver, Canada for Mass Spectrometer ICP analyses.

"It will be exciting to see the results from these additional targets within the San Simon project gold plateau," commented Eaglecrest's President, Hans Rasmussen. "These zones could add substantially to the long term potential of the project. The immediate objective is to develop drill targets in these two zones during 2007 for follow-up diamond drilling in 2008. Our ultimate goal is to demonstrate multiple zones of gold mineralization on the San Simon plateau which, when combined, will provide the Company with significant upside gold resource potential."
