Eamon Chase, Inc. Receives $86,000 Contract From U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Owner Brett Sanborn Credits US Federal Contractor Registration for Helping Him Qualify to Bid on the Contract

MILTON, FL--(Marketwired - September 28, 2015) - Eamon Chase, Inc., a service-disabled veteran-owned general contracting company in Milton, Florida, announced this week that it received a contract worth $86,307 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The contract calls for the company to remove the existing roof of an office at J Percy Priest Lake in Nashville and then replace it with a new roof. J. Percy Priest Lake is a recreational facility that offers fishing, hunting, camping, picnicking, boating, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, and more.

The award comes just about one month after the company completed its System for Award Management (SAM) Registration with US Federal Contractor Registration, the world’s largest third-party government contracting firm.

Sanborn says that having the opportunity to bid on government contracts set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses is a “wonderful opportunity.”

“Disabled veterans don’t always get the same job and employment opportunities as other people,” he says. “It’s an incredible opportunity for people who can’t find traditional work, and it helps give veterans the chance to earn a livelihood.”

This is the first government contract Eamon Chase, Inc. has received from the federal government, though he hopes it is the first of many.

Eric Knellinger, president of US Federal Contractor Registration, credits Marianne Swager, the case manager who works with Eamon Chase, Inc., with helping to make this award possible. From helping Eamon Chase, Inc. complete its SAM Registration and know about contracting opportunities, to helping the company complete its bid and position itself as the best firm for the job, Swager, says Knellinger, demonstrated just what helps US Federal Contractor Registration stand out -- it not only helps companies survive, but it also helps them thrive.

“We don’t just take a client’s money, help set them up, and turn them loose,” says Knellinger. “We walk them through every step of the contracting process, make sure they have the tools they need to succeed, and, in some cases, introduce them to procurement officers looking for the services or products that the company provides.”

Swager, for her part, said that Eamon Chase, Inc.’s contracting success is “rewarding” and shows what a company can accomplish when it completes its SAM Registration correctly, puts together a high-quality capabilities statement and list of past performance, and demonstrates exactly why the government should award it a contract.

US Federal Contractor Registration is the world's largest third-party registration firm. It helps business owners register to do business with the federal government; build a proper profile in the following systems: (8a, GSA, DSBS, System for Award Management, HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, DAPA, and the Simplified Acquisition Program); and market that profile to the federal government. US Federal Contractor Registration is a platinum rated D&B rated company. It has completed more than 65,000 federal registrations for federal contractors, nonprofits, state and local agencies, and even for the U.S. government.
