"We know that golfers have the opportunity to play in charity events every week during the season, so we wanted to make sure we offered the best tournament value in town," stressed Cynthia Pepper, HFCC's Interim Executive Director of Development. "Golfers will have a chance to win prizes in a number of skill events, will be entertained by HFCC's nationally renowned musicians and will have a chance to win big at the auction and the raffles too."

"Community Bank of Dearborn is the signature sponsor of the tournament and other sponsorships are also available from $250 to $10,000," Pepper added. "Sponsors will reach hundreds of attendees at the event and thousands more via HFCC radio station, WHFR. It's really a nice added bonus for our sponsors and they will reach a much broader listening audience."

To date, the HFCC's Mike Adray Memorial Tournament has raised nearly $600,000 for student scholarships. Last year the college awarded more than 400 scholarships to deserving students.

"With a soft economy, it's more important than ever to help people achieve their dreams of a college education," says Pepper. "Giving the gift of a college education will make a dramatic difference in peoples' lives and will help Michigan's economy by training students for jobs right here in southeast Michigan."
