Earthquake Preparedness Expert and MMRGlobal CEO Bob Lorsch Points to Urgent Need for Worldwide Personal Health Records

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2011) - MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCBB: MMRF) today announced that it will donate its first month's revenue from new retail subscribers to its MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record and MyEsafeDepositBox virtual vault for the benefit of Japanese relief organizations. The program, which will run through April 30, 2011, is designed to incentivize everyone to protect their health and the health of their entire family by signing up for and maintaining a Personal Health Record (PHR).

MMR continues to benefit from quarter over quarter increases in sales because of the growing consumer awareness of the importance of having a Personal Health Record. This is also as a result of the Obama administration's push for Americans to be more accountable for the costs of their healthcare.

Robert H. "Bob" Lorsch, Chairman and CEO of MMRGlobal, previously co-chaired the California State and the Los Angeles City and County Earthquake Preparedness Committees for which he was awarded the prestigious "C" Flag Private Sector Initiative by President Ronald Reagan. The Award came in consideration of his work in support of the education of school-age children on earthquake preparedness. Lorsch continued his work with disaster preparedness in Los Angeles and then Japan over more than 10 years. He also co-chaired the first Los Angeles worldwide Earthquake Preparedness Conference. His efforts have also earned him awards from the City and County of Los Angeles, the State of California and FEMA.

In 2006, MMRGlobal received a special award from President George W. Bush and the Small Business Administration for its comprehensive MyMedicalRecords electronic Personal Health Record and disaster preparedness management and communications system.

According to Lorsch, "I have spent 20 years educating youth domestically and in Japan on the importance of earthquake preparedness. At one time working with Joe Barbera of Hanna-Barbera and Dan Slusser of Universal Studios, we appointed 'Yogi Bear' the first Earthquake Preparedness Bear. It is painful to watch the suffering in Japan but encouraging to know that some of the people on the ground today may have been influenced by our earlier efforts to educate families on how to survive an earthquake."

"Life works in many strange ways," continued Lorsch. "I believe it is more than a coincidence that I am now CEO of a company that itself was acknowledged by former President Bush for its contributions to disaster preparedness. That is one of the reasons we made this decision to give back."

Establishing a Personal Health Record represents the first step a family can take to be prepared. In this way, MMRGlobal's products and services can fill a significant need in helping individuals survive a disaster by having their medical records and other important documents readily available when and where needed. Each MyMedicalRecords account covers a family of up to 10 members (including pets) and features a proprietary Emergency Login. This special emergency portal enables personal health information and medical records, pre-selected by the user, to be accessed by doctors and authorized emergency personnel while protecting the privacy and security of all other information in an account.

In addition to medical records, the MyMedicalRecords PHR includes an eSafeDepositBox feature, serving as a virtual "lock box" where individuals can also securely store their most important documents, including insurance policies, copies of passports, birth certificates, deeds of trust, and photos of personal property, which are crucial to recovery in the aftermath of a disaster.
