Easi-Set Worldwide Successfully Completes 30th Annual Building Producers Seminar

MIDLAND, VA--(Marketwired - Dec 17, 2014) - In mid-November, Easi-Set Worldwide, a subsidiary of Smith-Midland Corporation (OTCQB: SMID), completed the 30th annual Building Producers Seminar in Bakersfield, CA. Its event was hosted in coordination with StructureCast, a licensed producer of Easi-Set. This seminar annually brings together licensed building producers throughout North America for three days of intense advertising & marketing reviews, in-depth technical and operational sessions, roundtable discussions, and sponsor/vendor displays. More than fifty people from licensed producers and vendor organizations attended. 

Attendees have the opportunity to share their success stories with the other licensed producers and attend the performance awards banquet, which recognizes accomplishments in the industry over the past year. One attendee noted that nowhere else but through Easi-Set is there an opportunity to receive such high-caliber expertise and take part in information sharing on such a specific vertical market.

According to Moffette Tharpe, Easi-Set's Managing Director, "Easi-Set's annual Seminar is unique because independent pre-casters throughout North America join together, with a common bond, to learn and freely share information intended to strengthen their respective businesses." 

Four roundtable discussions promoted interaction and collaboration between the producers and were facilitated by the Easi-Set team. The roundtable discussions focused on building trends, best practices in producer communication and coordination, advertising and marketing, and management of master contracts, for example. All roundtable discussions were well attended, and served to provide a platform for information sharing and gathering for the strengthening of programs and campaigns. 

Performance awards were given in recognition of individual producer accomplishments and based on data received regarding the complexity and challenges of projects at hand. Winners were:

  • Most Buildings Sold - HyGrade Precast of St. Catharine's, Ontario
  • Highest Average Sales - Oldcastle Precast of Easton, PA
  • Most Restrooms Sold - Oldcastle Precast of Easton, PA
  • Largest Footprint - Lonestar Pre-Stress Manufacturing of Houston, TX
  • Most Easi-Spans Sold - Smith-Midland of Midland, VA
  • Most Buildings Specified - Norwalk Concrete Industries of Norwalk, OH

Easi-Set executives selected the recipient for the prestigious project management award, Most Complicated Project, which was awarded to Oldcastle Precast of Easton, PA. Seminar attendees voted on a winner in the Prettiest Building Photo contest, which secondarily promotes submissions for future promotional use. The award went to StructureCast of Bakersfield, CA.
