VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2012) - EastCoal Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ECX) (the "Company" or "EastCoal") is pleased to announce that the construction of the new wash plant at the Menzhinsky Coal Mine in Ukraine ("Menzhinsky Mine") is complete and that the commissioning of the plant has commenced. The commissioning is expected to last a few days, following which, the Company will ramp up production to full capacity over the next few weeks.
The plant is designed to process 400 tonnes of waste material an hour and is anticipated to produce 18,000 tonnes of saleable coal per month.
The Chairman of EastCoal, Mr. John Byrne, commented:
