easyJet Looks to Proofpoint's Cloud for Email Security

Europe's Leading Low-Fares Airline Uses Proofpoint's SaaS Email Security Solution to Stop Spam, Viruses and Phishing Attacks

easyJet signed a multi-year subscription to Proofpoint's SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) email security solution in 2008. Following a competitive evaluation and two-week pilot, the airline chose Proofpoint ENTERPRISE over competing solutions because of its highly configurable, modular approach, unrivalled anti-spam effectiveness and built-in reporting capabilities.

Additionally, easyJet -- which employs circa 7,000 staff supported by an IT staff of 59 -- sought to greatly reduce the costs, administration and maintenance burdens associated with managing email security. Simplicity, ease-of-use and control for end users were also critical selection criteria.
