VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - September 30, 2016) -
Why: The Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) needs our help and attention now, more than ever, as supplies on hand have not been this low since in 1982.
What: Next Tuesday, October 4th, Nature's Path will be holding "Eat Well Do Good" a "foodraiser" in downtown Vancouver to raise food and funds for the GVFB which supports over 26,500 people each week -- of which 20% are children and 19% are seniors.
Kicking off at 7 a.m., early morning commuters can fill up on freshly brewed coffee along with $5 grab-and-go breakfast bags. From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., charitable foodies can pick up a delicious lunch for $10. Or, for a $25 donation, participants can pick up a grocery bag filled with delicious and healthy products from Nature's Path and our sponsors. Musicians and dancers will be on-hand to entertain the crowd.
The best part? 100% of cash and food raised at the event goes towards the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Further, Nature's Path will double donations (up to 40,000 lbs of food) in order to to feed more people in our community, This 40,000 is equivalent to 55,000 boxes of granola or 250 shopping carts!
When: Tuesday, October 4th from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Vancouver Art Gallery South Plaza (800 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 3B7) or London Drugs on Granville at West Georgia (710 Granville St, Vancouver BC V6Z 1E4)
