Eating Disorder Hope Launches New Website

Newly Revamped One-Stop Resource, Eating Disorder Hope Offers Comprehensive Information on Eating Disorders and Related Issues

FORT WORTH, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 12, 2012) - Millions of individuals with eating disorders and related issues often have a difficult time finding credible information and resources online. Eating Disorder Hope, (, a website first launched in 2005, is now redesigned to offer even more information and resources for those struggling with these disorders.

"The new site is more user-friendly and easy to navigate," said Jacquelyn Ekern, a licensed professional counselor and founder of Eating Disorder Hope. "We now cover eating disorders far more extensively with detailed overviews of topics such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, weight and body image, excessive exercise, nutrition, treatment for eating disorders, statistics, therapy, treatment types, co-occurring disorders and much more."

The website also offers an expanded treatment directory with additional national coverage of eating disorder treatment centers. Ekern's own personal battle with and recovery from an eating disorder fueled her passion to help others. The site has been a global resource for help and healing for thousands of individuals.

"Eating Disorder Hope is just that -- real hope. If you or your loved one has been touched by an eating disorder, with just one click, you can connect with others who have struggled and, more importantly, found freedom," said Jenni Schaefer, author, Life Without Ed and Goodbye Ed, Hello Me (McGraw-Hill). "You will find the necessary resources for healing."

Eating Disorder Hope also has national directory guides for eating disorder support groups and therapists, information and resources to those suffering from eating disorders, their treatment providers and loved ones by providing exclusive articles, eating disorder event listings, and recovery tips for women and men struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and co-occurring disorders.
