Eau Claire Dental Office Adds New Associate Dentist

EAU CLAIRE, WI--(Marketwired - June 25, 2015) - An Eau Claire family dental practice has hired a new associate as it continues to grow its patient base and comprehensive dental services.

Dr. Jayce Apelgren will join the staff of Hebert Dental on July 6. Dr. Apelgren holds his undergraduate degree from Lawrence University and recently earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

"Our staff has already fallen in love with his warm, glowing personality and his gentle treatment style," said Sean Tarpenning, who operates Hebert Dental. "We’re confident that our patients will be comfortable with Dr. Apelgren’s quality care and impeccable chairside manner."

Dr. Tarpenning said the staff of Hebert Dental began searching for a new associate dentist this year after seeing an influx in patients. Hebert Dental has served the communities of Eau Claire, Altoona, and Chippewa Falls for 40 years, offering life-changing procedures like dental implants and a full range of sedation dentistry.

"As we continue to grow, we want to continue providing convenient and excellent care for our patients," Dr. Tarpenning said. "By adding Dr. Apelgren, we can serve more patients and cut down on their length of dental visits."

Hebert Dental was started in 1975 by Dr. Thomas Herbert, and Dr. Tarpenning has been with the practice since 2000. Dr. Tarpenning provides cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry (All-on-4 dental implants and mini dental implants), sedation dentistry and orthodontic treatments. He uses dental implants as single-tooth replacements or to stabilize dentures. Dental implants are the closest thing in dentistry to natural teeth and can last a lifetime if cared for properly.

Dr. Tarpenning graduated with honors from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in biology and then the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Tarpenning has served as an adjunct fixed-prosthodontics instructor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and has twice been the president of the Chippewa Valley Dental Society. He has undergone hundreds of hours in postgraduate education in orthodontics, restorative and sedation dentistry. He has Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training, which permits him to practice oral sedation dentistry, and has had extensive training in Invisalign treatment.

In addition to orthodontics and preventive care, Hebert Dental offers screenings for dental emergencies such as: tooth trauma; tooth decay or cavities; chipped or broken teeth; teeth that have been knocked out; loose bands and brackets; missing crowns or fillings; broken aligners, braces or wires; severe toothaches; broken dentures; partially dislodged teeth; objects caught between teeth and abscesses.
