Ebenisterie St-Fabien Industriel Inc. Receives Funding From Government of Canada to Update Manufacturing Equipment

SAINT-FABIEN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 29, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Ébénisterie St-Fabien Industriel Inc. has been granted financial assistance from the Government of Canada to acquire specialized manufacturing equipment and integrate leading-edge technology into its production processes.

"The Government of Canada is pleased to lend its financial support to Ébénisterie St-Fabien Industriel, an enterprise that has decided to upgrade its manufacturing equipment in order to improve its productivity and competitiveness," said Minister Lebel.

The project involved the purchase of a new, higher-performance machining centre to help the company increase its production rate and standardize all of its manufacturing procedures. Part of a larger modernization process, these improvements have enabled the firm to optimize its production time and increase the efficiency of its assembly line in order to better satisfy the growing demands of its customers.

Ébénisterie St-Fabien Industriel has been specializing in the manufacture of custom commercial and industrial furniture for the institutional and commercial sectors for more than 40 years. The firm is one of the small and medium-sized manufacturers whose activities help stimulate the economy of the Rimouski-Neigette Regional County Municipality (RCM).
