Ecast Taps Michael Miner for Vice President, Business Development Role

Brings Strategic Business Development Experience From Amazon, eBay and Yahoo!

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 17, 2010) -  Ecast, a leader in place-based media solutions, today announced the hire of Michael Miner as the company's vice president of business development. Prior to joining Ecast, Miner served as director of business development and client services for the A9 business unit of Amazon where he was charged with building and managing a sponsored link advertising business on Amazon.com and third party publisher sites. He subsequently led his team to ad sales revenue growth of 255% in his first year there.

Prior to Amazon, Miner was senior manager of sales and business development at eBay where he negotiated strategic partnerships with top online retailers to integrate PayPal into their commerce engines. In his role as senior business manager at eBay, he was responsible for eighteen verticals in eBay toys -- which represented over $250 million in gross merchandise value -- and the health and beauty category, a $350 million business. Prior to eBay, Miner was senior business development and marketing manager for Yahoo! Travel, spearheading and negotiating over fifty-five online and offline partnerships with media giants Showtime, Sony Pictures and A&E as well as major brands British Airways and Budget Car Rental.
