TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 28, 2014) - Ecclesiastical Insurance is delighted to announce that it has been named one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People, 2014. This is the second consecutive year that the company has been awarded this prestigious designation.
Now in its twelfth year, Canada's Top Employers for Young People is a project organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. The competition recognizes organizations that offer the best programs to attract, develop and retain younger employees. The Editorial Committee reviews a wide range of initiatives, among them training and mentoring programs, tuition assistance for specific courses or professional designations, career management, as well as progression and retention.
"We are very honoured to have achieved this special recognition for the second time, alongside some of the most innovative and highly respected companies in Canada," said Jacinta Whyte, Deputy Group Chief Executive, Ecclesiastical Insurance, and General Manager & Chief Agent for Canada. "We are extremely proud that our Business Intern Program continues to attract college and university graduates who are looking to build careers in the commercial insurance industry. As our program is based on a rotational model, Business Interns have the opportunity to learn about and work in every area of our business. As part of their rotation, interns are placed with non-profit organizations so that they may share their skills and give back to the community in a tangible way. This unique approach enables young employees to become well-rounded professionals, strong business leaders and good corporate citizens. This award is also an affirmation of the commitment and dedication of all Ecclesiastical employees who, along with our leadership team, foster a culture of learning and mentorship in our offices across the country."
