ECCO Sko A/S Initiates a Gradual Generational Handover

BREDEBRO, DENMARK--(Marketwired - May 25, 2016) - At its Supervisory Board Meeting today, ECCO Sko A/S has decided to initiate a gradual generational handover in the Managing Board of the company.

ECCO's Managing Director Dieter Kasprzak hands over the day-to-day management of ECCO Sko A/S to Steen Borgholm, presently member of the Managing Board and Chief Financial Officer of ECCO Sko A/S. At the same time, Steen Borgholm is appointed Deputy Managing Director.

The intention is to appoint Steen Borgholm Managing Director of the company in connection with the Supervisory Board Meeting and Annual General Meeting in May 2017.

Having been in charge of ECCO Sko A/S the past almost 12 years, Dieter Kasprzak wants to hand over the day-to-day management responsibility to Steen Borgholm in order to be able to focus more on especially ECCO's design and product development. Furthermore, Dieter Kasprzak will continue as a member of ECCO's Supervisory Board.

Steen Borgholm has a career of long standing in ECCO since his start in year 2000. After working some years in ECCO's finance department, he shifted to sales and initially built up ECCO's accessories company in Switzerland for three years. In 2006, he was appointed Managing Director of ECCO Canada and developed this subsidiary during a period of four years. In 2010, Steen Borgholm was appointed Regional Director with responsibility for the entire Asian region, based in Hong Kong, and in 2012, was appointed member of ECCO's Managing Board, based in Bredebro.

Aside from Steen Borgholm, the day-to-day top management hereafter consists of Panos Mytaros, responsible for the Group's leather and shoe production activities, Andreas Wortmann, product and brand director, and Michel Krol, global sales director.
