Ecliptek's New HCSL 3.3V SMD Oscillator Reduces Jitter

COSTA MESA, CA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2009) - Ecliptek is pleased to introduce our new EN13C7 series of High Speed Current Steering Logic (HCSL) oscillators, available in output frequencies up to 125.000MHz. The low profile six pad 5mm x 7mm ceramic package is ideal for higher frequency applications requiring reduced jitter combined with tighter frequency stability. Utilization of a third overtone mode quartz crystal teamed with the HCSL ASIC design eliminates the need for an internal phase locked loop (PLL) while delivering superior period jitter and phase noise performance.

The HCSL output of this product series provides fast rise and fall times and improved frequency stability, as low as +/-20ppm maximum, through the use of a bulk acoustic wave (BAW) crystal resonator. Tri-state High Impedance output control is standard for this RoHS compliant crystal oscillator series, as is tight duty cycle of 50% +/-5%.

"The EN13C7 oscillator series offers superior phase noise performance, enabling this new product series to be used in high performance applications," said Thomas Culhane, Vice President of Engineering of Ecliptek Corporation.

These Ecliptek oscillator series provide low jitter differential clocking solutions for PCI-Express, Fiber Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, FBDIMM, SATA/SAS and other networking applications at a competitive price.
