Eco-Rx Announces Its RX 400 Air Purifier Kills Airborne Staph and Other Airborne Bacterial Infections Including MRSA

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL--(Marketwire - October 24, 2007) - Eco-Rx (PINKSHEETS: ERXX), producer of proprietary air purification products, said today that its RX 400 can significantly reduce the incidence of airborne bacterial infections including MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). In independent third party testing conducted by an EPA and FDA certified lab, the RX-400 killed greater than 99% of MRSA and other airborne bacteria on the first pass. Additionally, the RX 400, is listed by the U S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a Class II medical device.

Over the past few months, highly publicized cases of Staph infections, including MRSA, dramatically point out that these infections are no longer limited to hospitals but are occurring across the nation in schools and other public places.

Dr. Wladyslaw J. Kowalski, P.E., a noted authority on indoor air quality, recently published an article in the September 2007 issue of Consulting-Specifying Engineer titled Airborne Superbugs: Can Hospital Acquired Infections Cause Community Epidemics? In the article, he states that "nosocomial infections have been around as long as hospitals have been operating... thanks to favorable indoor environments airborne epidemics tend to be self-perpetuating, as opposed to food-borne and water-borne epidemics, which tend to be local and short-lived. Most of the drug resistant pathogens circulating today are capable of airborne transmission." Dr. Kowalski is Vice President for Immune Building Systems Inc. In addition, he conducts research for the Indoor Environment Center at The Pennsylvania State University and is chairman of the Air Treatment Group of the International Ultraviolet Association.

Eco-Rx's President, Paul Taccini commented, "We see a large and growing need for our products in the health, commercial and residential markets, to help combat the growing airborne bacterial danger posed to humans in hospitals, offices, hotels, restaurants, theaters, schools and stores where you have large numbers of people in an enclosed area. The danger from these bacterial infections now extends into the home. Eco-Rx is positioned to pursue an aggressive campaign with institutions, hotels, commercial venues and public transportation as well as the home to help resolve these airborne threats."

Mr. Taccini added, "The Company has begun contacting towns and school systems which have experienced outbreaks of MSRA to make them aware of the RX-400's ability to kill over 99% of airborne bacterial agents on a 'first pass through' basis. Some of the applications for the RX-400 include general areas, meeting and waiting rooms, and locker room facilities."
