Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCBB: ECOP) Announces Letter of Intent Signed With Sharp to Collaborate on High Bay LED Technologies in the North American Market

CAMBRIDGE, ON--(Marketwired - August 05, 2014) - Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCQB: ECOP)

Eco-Shift Power (ECOP), one of Canada's leading energy management and lighting firms, announced today the execution of a Letter of Intent with Sharp Manufacturing Company of America ("SMCA"), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation.

"We are absolutely ecstatic to be working with a global electronics and technology powerhouse such as Sharp," said ECOP CEO Gib Wood at the announcement. "With the LOI signed we can now shift our focus to collaborating on technology synergies and joint market penetration strategies for the North American High Bay LED market."

The announcement follows the company's recent meetings with members of SMCA's management team which resulted in furthering a strategic relationship to assess a number of potential collaborations including the integration of ECOP's proprietary Light Management System and Virtual Powerplant Platform with Sharp's lighting technology, as well as Net Zero™ certification of Sharp's lighting products.

"We see a great fit between Sharp and Eco-Shift," says Wood. "Sharp's world-class design team and manufacturing capabilities combined with Eco-Shift's wireless Light Management expertise and Virtual Powerplant Platform is a clear win for both companies. Our collaboration in the High Bay LED space will allow us to quickly penetrate the burgeoning North American High Bay LED market by providing unsurpassed product quality and potential energy savings to our customers. It's a tremendous opportunity for both companies to leap ahead and quickly increase market share. Wirelessly controlled LED high-bays are the wave of the future," asserts Wood.

ECOP's RF chipset is a key component of its Light Management technology and can be used to create IP addressable light fixtures that offer wireless control and 2-way communication. Each light fixture can be independently programed and controlled via Eco-Shift's cloud-based Virtual Powerplant Platform. This RF technology is fundamental for lighting products to effectively compete in the rapidly growing markets of demand management and demand response. The 2-way wireless communication is also needed to maximize the effectiveness of motion sensors and daylight harvest sensors, which are easily added to light fixtures to help manage energy usage. The technology can also be linked to security systems to both detect intruders and activate lighting.

ECOP Lighting Solutions and Energy Management serves a client roster including Mattel, ThyssenKrupp, and Parmalat. With a foundation in new-era LED lighting and wireless and web-enabled technologies, ECOP is transitioning clients' decision making from old, fixed technology to the new information age.
