Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCBB: ECOP) Approved as an Authorized Supplier to 1,580 New Vehicle Dealerships in Canada and the United States by Leader Auto Resources Inc.

CAMBRIDGE, ON--(Marketwired - May 29, 2014) -

Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCBB: ECOP)

Eco-Shift (ECOP) announced today that it has been approved as an authorized supplier to Leader Auto Resources (LAR) Inc. reaching 1,580 new vehicle dealerships in Canada and the United States with the potential for an extended total network of 13,000 dealerships in Europe.

LAR is the largest new vehicle dealer franchised buying group in North America, whether ranked by sales, profits, number of dealers, range of products and services or geographical footprint. As the automotive industry has grown and evolved, LAR has, over its almost 35 year history, kept pace with a steady expansion in goods, services, information technology and distribution infrastructures.

"LAR provides a wide array of services, products and equipment for new car dealerships. They negotiate and procure with a huge number of suppliers for just about anything a car dealership needs to run its business and improve profits," says ECOP CEO Gib Wood. "Our NetZero Certified lighting products, in conjunction with our Virtual Power Plant Platform and smart building energy management technologies will enable LAR members to save significant energy costs which will translate directly to their bottom line."

"Eco-Shift has shown us the right tools to allow dealer members to really understand the savings they can achieve by allowing a proper and well documented energy audit of their dealerships," says Claude Dauphinais, LAR's National Director -- Purchasing and Marketing. "With the audit as the launch point, they deliver a turnkey project for our dealer members, providing products specially tailored for their needs, installation and identification of grants, subsidies from the applicable provincial and state authorities, thereby allowing our dealer members to benefit from energy savings right from the get go."

NetZero Certification is ECOP's means of qualifying lighting products that meet exacting criteria and is a new tool for the industry to make better energy and cost saving decisions. ECOP has developed rigorous protocols including all the necessary tests that products must go through in order to attain NetZero Certification. "This means the LAR dealership members can have better lighting, save money and improve the appearance of their vehicles on sale as well as the overall customer experience."

New vehicle dealerships have equipment renewal needs including lighting retrofit, which often require an investment. LAR has over 35 years of experience in equipment technology procurement to assist car dealers in evaluating such investments and choosing the optimal solution. LAR also offers methods of financing equipment purchases to minimize capital outlays, making it easy for members to work with ECOP.

ECOP Lighting Solutions and Energy Management serves a client roster including Mattel, ThyssenKrupp, and Parmalat. With a foundation in new-era LED lighting and wireless and web-enabled technologies, ECOP is transitioning clients' decision making from old, fixed technology to the new information age.

ECOP's strategic plan includes acquiring best available technologies and brands to stay positioned at the forefront of the multi-billion dollar lighting retrofit and smart building development industry in North America and beyond.
