Eco-Shift Power Corp. (OTCQB: ECOP) Announces Agreement to Retrofit Bonaventure Hockey Complex

CAMBRIDGE, ON--(Marketwired - October 02, 2014) - Eco-Shift Power Corp. (OTCQB: ECOP), one of Canada's leading energy management and lighting firms, has been awarded a contract to retrofit the Bonaventure Hockey Complex sports facility with ECOP's LED high bay lighting fixtures. ECOP is a preferred lighting solutions provider for hockey arenas and sporting facilities with the ability to provide high quality and efficient lighting, with control capabilities, at competitive pricing. ECOP will install its low cost, high efficiency LED high bay as it has the ability to meet the strict lighting requirements of a sporting facility. The market interest for ECOP's LED high bay is increasing significantly given the competitive MSRP which allows for a remarkably fast payback period compared to the competition.

The Bonaventure Hockey Complex facility retrofit in Montreal, Quebec will result in an impressive financial energy savings of 70%, which is guaranteed by ECOP. The ice rinks will be retrofitted with High Efficient 210W LED Highbay Luminaires with an extended life of 210,000 hours (L70) equipped with motion sensors and controlled by ECOP's Radium - Light Management System. The project has an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 31.5% allowing ECOP to guarantee that the project will become cash flow positive in a little over 3 years. This is particularly impressive considering the ultra-low electricity rate of $0.0715 per Kilowatt/hour in Quebec, one of the lowest rates in Canada.

"I am very happy to announce this project as it further cements our position as leaders and trusted experts in sports facility lighting solutions in Canada," says ECOP's CFO Jim Hughes. ECOP targets the sports facility market due to their ability to deliver specialty lights that meet the demanding requirements of sport facility lighting. "I love hockey and take pleasure knowing we can help improve the players' game. It also feels nice to be putting increased revenue into the budgets of arena owners," says Hughes.

Bonaventure Hockey Complex is now the 7th sporting facility retrofit by ECOP, and the company has plans in place to expand in this niche market. Examples of recent projects include (click for link): Forum Arena, Gateway Arena and Cambridge Ice Centre

"Over the past 3 years we were approached by about 10 different lighting and energy companies all offering 'the miracle' solution that could save us thousands of dollars in lighting costs. It is only with Eco-Shift Power that we were able to get those guaranteed savings in writing and obtain some samples to actually compare the difference with our old lights," says Christian Doiron, the general manager at Bonaventure Hockey Complex. He continues, "We cannot wait to see the reaction of the thousands of players who play here weekly! We are sure the retrofit will be a big success."

The high-efficiency LED Retrofit Project will generate more than $150,000 in energy and maintenance savings over 10 years. The energy savings, predicted to be around 135,280 kWh each year, is equal to the annual greenhouse gas emissions from 20 passenger vehicles or CO2 emissions from 10,497 gallons of gasoline consumed.

A Turn-Key Solution from lighting industry experts: ECOP manages every aspect of a lighting retrofit project from lighting audits to product sourcing (complete with Net Zero Certification) to Installation.
