Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCQB: ECOP) Announces New Los Angeles Office to Penetrate Significant California and Western US Markets

CAMBRIDGE, ON--(Marketwired - May 20, 2014) - Eco-Shift Power (ECOP) (OTCQB: ECOP), one of Canada's leading energy management and lighting firms, announced today the opening of its new office in Los Angeles, California.

The announcement follows the firm's recent acquisition of cutting-edge lighting efficiency technologies and products from E-Shift Scientific Inc., and will act as a launch pad to provide ECOP's lighting efficiency and demand response solutions to a burgeoning and underserved segment of the US market.

"The California energy efficiency market is far and away one of the largest and most progressive in North America. The regulatory environment governing energy policy in California has resulted in increasing pressure for businesses to become more energy efficient, or face increased operating costs and in some cases even fines," says Gib Wood, the firm's president and CEO. "With the opening of our new Los Angeles office, we will be perfectly positioned to deliver our world class energy efficiency solutions to a massive base of clients who need it most."

ECOP Lighting Solutions and Energy Management serves a client roster including Mattel, ThyssenKrupp, and Parmalat. With a foundation in new-era LED lighting and wireless and web-enabled technologies, ECOP is transitioning clients' decision making from old, fixed technology to the new information age.

"In order to effectively break into the California market, we have brought on Joy Langford and First Hightower Consultants LLC, a highly respected and well established energy efficiency consulting group based in LA," says Wood. "With Joy leading the way, the LA office offers a strong platform for developing deeper relationships with a host of current and prospective clients throughout California and the west. We're excited to have Joy and her team on board and her local expertise and network will help to ensure a great launch."

According to Langford, "The positive market conditions and genuine need for sustainable energy savings here in California are incredible. I'm thrilled to team up with Eco-Shift Power to provide their world-class services in this key market."

Joy Langford has over 15 years of experience as a public private partnership liaison assisting non-profits, corporations, local state and federal governments with energy management strategy and implementation. Her firm also assists companies that are trying to become better corporate citizens through philanthropy, environmental and corporate responsibility.

Joy's recent projects include implementing LED street lighting projects in several Southern California Cities, consulting on light rail and energy efficient trucking solutions for Air Quality Management District and Siemens, and implementing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations units in several California Municipalities. Joy also has significant experience in M&A work, project management, and financing for utility grade renewable energy projects both domestically and internationally.
