Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCQB: ECOP) Makes Further Progress Into UK Market by Receiving Accolades in the Canada Innovation Competition for the UK Green Building Sector

CAMBRIDGE, ON--(Marketwired - February 26, 2015) - Eco-Shift Power (ECOP) (OTCQB: ECOP), one of Canada's leading energy management and lighting firms, received accolades from the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service and the High of Canada in London for coming in second place in the 2015 Canada Innovation Competition for the UK Green Building Sector. The competition aims to find new and innovative products/services from Canada to meet current and emerging challenges in the UK green building and sustainable design sector.

Although Eco-Shift did not place first in the competition, making the short list of only five select products reviewed and selected by a panel of industry experts in the UK and Canada comes with much benefit. In addition, it was a "photo-finish" with Eco-Shift receiving a total of 299 points while first place scored 300. Due to their achievement, ECOP's proprietary products will be featured on plinths at the Canada Innovation Showcase at Ecobuild ( in London, England in early March 2015. This acknowledgement displays the potential of what ECOP has to offer with their NetZero certified LED products -- both high bay and flat panel.

"While not ultimately successful here, we are enthralled that the product was applauded by the judging panel for its innovation and suitability for the UK market!" exclaims Alistair Haughton, ECOP's CEO. "I was advised it was a close race and of course am excited to hear that Eco-Shift will be featured as a finalist in the Canada Innovation Showcase at Ecobuild. This will certainly assist us with our push into the UK market and foster further relationships with key players," continued Haughton.

The Competition, run in collaboration with the Canada Green Building Council ( and the Canada UK Sustainable Building Network (, and in the UK was supported by Innovate UK ( -- the UK Government's innovation agency working in the Built Environment -- has opened up many paths for ECOP.

Foremost, the Trade Commissioner from Canada's High Commission in London was integral to brokering the Agreement signed earlier this year with A+ and continues to provide support for ECOP's expansion into the UK market. ECOP's newly confirmed merit also played a substantial role in garnering interest from a number of other clients including London Underground, Intu and Lafarge/Tarmac, all of whom have highly complex and rigorous procurement protocols.
