LANCASTER, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2014) - Supported by the services of Ecology and Environment, Inc. (E & E) (NASDAQ: EEI), Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE: WPZ) is on track to increase natural gas delivery capacity to two New York City boroughs in time for next winter's heating season. With approval recently granted by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to construct the Rockaway Lateral expansion to Williams' Transco pipeline, construction is now underway, with E & E conducting offshore water quality monitoring for the project, coordinating the protected species observation program, and submitting weekly status reports to FERC and NYSDEC.

E & E has provided environmental review, agency coordination, permit development, and compliance plan implementation to support the Rockaway Lateral project since the project's inception in 2008. E & E staff works directly with the environmental inspectors and Williams/Transco management to ensure contractor compliance with the conditions of environmental permits and authorizations.
