Economic Club Launches Cross-Canada WELLth Management Mental Health Tour

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 18, 2014) - The Economic Club of Canada, in partnership with Excellence Canada & Lundbeck Canada, Mental Health International and Cookson James Loyalty will launch a national awareness campaign and corporate challenge initiative as part of a "coordinated assault" to de-stigmatize mental health in the workplace and to change the face of healthcare in Canada. Many organizations are unaware of the massive hit on their bottom line as a direct result of mental illness and mental health related problems, such as, absenteeism, presenteeism, disability claims, and decreased productivity. The WELLth Management nation-wide event series, corporate challenge and memorandum will help set a national standard for psychological health and safety in the workplace.

What: Join us for the unveiling of an initiative and memorandum that will challenge corporate Canada to implement mental health policies and practices in the workplace. Each event will feature a panel of experts in the field of mental illness who will share insight and information on the economic burden mental illness creates for a company or organization and the tools that can improve workplace wellbeing.
