Economic Outlook Summit Launched in Alberta October 30th

Inaugural event brings A-list keynotes and diverse breakout sessions to Alberta

MEDICINE HAT, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Sept. 30, 2013) - On October 30th, 2013 government leaders, expert economists, business specialists and even a para-Olympian will gather in Medicine Hat, Alberta for the first ever Economic Outlook Summit (EOS), by the Economic Development Alliance of Southeast Alberta (EDA).

The EDA has arranged an unparalleled speaker lineup, bringing together a group of experts usually only seen as individual keynotes such as:

Todd Hirsch - Senior Economist for ATB Financial
The Honourable Doug Horner - Minister of Finance
Earle Connor - gold medal Para-Olympian and motivational speaker

These speakers and more will cover topics ranging from the pros and cons of a provincial sales tax in Alberta to exporting options for small business. "We wanted to offer expanded programming and personalized contact with these thought leaders, not just keynote presentations," says Wendy Blackwell, Executive Director of the EDA. "The combination of dynamic keynotes and intensive breakout sessions ensures there is value for all attendees."

Blackwell and her team developed the Summit to provide valuable information sessions and networking opportunities for a broad audience - economic development officers, business owners, investors, economists, government officials and the general public are all encouraged to attend.

Visit http://events.edalliance.ca/events to view the agenda, see the comprehensive list of speakers and breakout sessions. Individuals get all these sessions and more for $68.50 and table prices are also in effect.
