eCopy Delivers Document Imaging Connector for EMC® Documentum® 6 Enterprise Content Management Platform

eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum Achieves EMC Documentum 6 Platform Readiness; Enables Secure Document Imaging and Real-Time Integration With EMC's Newest Platform

NASHUA, NH--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - eCopy, Inc., a leading provider of solutions that integrate paper documents into business software applications, today announced that its eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum, previously accredited as "Designed for EMC® Documentum®," has been validated on the next-generation Documentum 6 enterprise content management platform from EMC Corporation. The validation demonstrates that the eCopy Connector has met a comprehensive set of criteria set by both companies for testing and quality integration with the next-generation Documentum 6 platform.

EMC made available the Documentum 6 enterprise content management platform in July of this year. Through participation in the Designed for EMC program, eCopy received early access to the Documentum 6 platform software in order to test the eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum for integration with the next-generation platform. As a result of rigorous testing and full integration, the eCopy Connector for EMC Content Manager has been deemed "Documentum 6 Ready." This designation gives joint customers confidence that the eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum meets high standards for architectural compliance with Documentum 6 and is capable of providing a reliable integration.

The eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum extends the Documentum 6 content management platform to deliver distributed document scanning and routing capabilities, enabling organizations to bring paper documents once stored outside electronic workflows into their content management systems. The software provides an easy-to-use standard platform to scan hardcopy documents using multifunction printers (MFPs). Users can index and store scanned documents into folders within Documentum 6 repositories where the information is immediately available for retrieval and distribution by authorized users.

The eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum is designed to enable organizations to handle scanned documents consistent with existing content management procedures. eCopy's integration with EMC Documentum 6 is also designed to provide a consistent level of document security and assists in compliance efforts by maintaining a complete audit trail, logging which documents were scanned, when they were scanned, who scanned them, and to whom they were distributed.

"EMC's position as the leader in enterprise content management is strengthened by the support of great partners such as eCopy," said Randy Ziegler, director, EMC Developer Programs. "The Designed for EMC partner developer program enables our partners to deliver better offerings that fully leverage the new features and functionality of the next-generation EMC Documentum platform. Customers have demonstrated their trust in the EMC Documentum platform to manage their most critical and strategic information. The Designed for EMC programs enable EMC to continually earn that trust while supporting innovative offerings like the eCopy Connector for EMC Documentum."

"eCopy makes it easy for any EMC Documentum user to securely capture paper-based information by providing a consistent, easy to use interface across all eCopy-supported MFPs," said Chip Whitman, director of software alliances at eCopy. "eCopy software is unique because it secures the document immediately at the point of scanning at the MFP, enabling organizations to prove that critical documents have not been tampered with and comply with regulations."

eCopy's Connector for EMC Documentum received the "EMC Documentum 6 Ready" designation as a result of their participation in the Designed for EMC programs which help ISVs, VSPs and SIs design, develop and go-to-market with successful offerings based on the EMC Documentum platform. As a member, eCopy received specialized design consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated content management technical resources and marketing support.
