eCorp English Global Headquarters Opens in Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, VT--(Marketwire - March 16, 2011) - Governor Peter Shumlin and other state and local officials joined the staff of eCorp English and a host of supporters in celebrating the opening of their new global headquarters in Middlebury, Vermont today. The 6700 square foot facility will house the corporate office, IT development and serve as the primary remote instruction center for the international operation that provides online English-language training to the personnel of global corporations including Google, Alcatel Lucent, UPS, HSBC, BNP Paribas, etc.

"English language training is a relatively new and expanding market, and we work hard to ensure eCorp English is able to prosper and grow here in Vermont."

"We are delighted to begin operations at our new global headquarters in Middlebury," said eCorp English founder and president Deborah Schwarz. "We have received excellent candidates for all the positions we've posted to date and have already made key hires in senior management, technology and training platform management. We are actively hiring for more than 35 positions in 2011."

The interior space was designed by Harris & Harris Consulting, Inc., and construction managed by Vermont Industrial Parks. The state of the art space will comfortably accommodate over 75 employees. The international training center operation will operate 24-hours a day to service its clients in Europe and Asia. Plans are in the works to create an on-site café that will be open to other businesses at the location. 

eCorp English was provider of choice for over 50 global corporations in 2010 in the francophone market (France, Switzerland, and Belgium), a number which is expanding rapidly in this market to include Luxembourg, Monaco, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Canada. In 2010 operations began in China and in Japan in 2011.
