ECRM Taps B2 Media Veteran Joe Tarnowski to Lead Content Development

SOLON, OH--(Marketwired - Aug 12, 2014) - Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM®) a leader in business innovation and technology, has hired retail business-to-business media veteran Joseph Tarnowski as VP and Chief Content Officer to lead the development of its content platform that will deliver actionable information and insights to retail buyers and suppliers.

"Joe's business media background is perfectly aligned with ECRM's vision of adding a content component to the existing events and digital platform we've developed to facilitate the buying process," said Greg Farrar, CEO of ECRM. "His knowledge of the retail industry and experience in developing unique and compelling content across media platforms will extend our engagement with retail buyers and suppliers year-round."

Tarnowski is responsible for creating a content strategy and platform that provides retail buyers and suppliers the information they need to optimize the buying process, and delivers this content to them when and how they want it -- via online, social media, in person, and mobile. This content will include original research and insights from ECRM Data, the company's business intelligence division.

Tarnowski has more than 20 years' experience in business-to-business media, most recently with Deerfield, Ill.-based Stagnito Business Information, where he helped launch and was Editor in Chief of Progressive Grocer Independent, as well as editor of Progressive Grocer Tech. He also co-created Stagnito's Connected Consumer Summit, an event focused on digital marketing and analytics for retail and CPG brands. During his 13 year tenure at Stagnito and Progressive Grocer, Tarnowski helped create and execute many unique content initiatives across print, digital, custom research, and events -- including moderating roundtables at past ECRM events.

He has also produced content for such industry-leading media brands as Convenience Store News, The Gourmet Retailer, RETAILTECH, and Foodservice Director.

"ECRM has a wealth of information assets, including the expertise of its staff and its buyer and supplier audience, and its research and data capabilities," said Tarnowski. "On top of this, it has amazing digital and event platforms with which to deliver this information. I'm excited to join the team and its mission to deliver this valuable content to the industry."

Tarnowski will be based in Sunnyside N.Y., and can be reached at
