Ed Hoffman of SLI Systems to Speak at Gilbane Content Management Conference

VP of Global Business and Corporate Development Will Discuss Improving Conversions With Site Search and the E-Commerce User Experience

CUPERTINO, CA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2010) -  Ed Hoffman, vice president of global business and corporate development for SLI Systems (www.sli-systems.com), will participate on two panel discussions at the upcoming Gilbane San Francisco Content Management Conference, May 19 and 20, 2010. Hoffman will take part in the panel discussions titled "Findability: Crafting Your Site to Drive Traffic and Improve Conversions," and "Smarter e-Commerce: Raising the Bar for the User Experience," both of which will be moderated by Hadley Reynolds, research director for search and digital marketplace technologies for IDC.

In the "Findability" session (May 19, 1:30pm to 2:30pm), Hoffman will discuss the importance of good site search in attracting and converting visitors, and why site owners need to closely watch visitor behavior -- such as what they search for and their clickthrough habits -- in order to improve their site performance and attract more visitors. In the "Smarter e-Commerce" session (May 20, 3:30pm to 4:30pm), Hoffman will talk about today's sophisticated and savvy online shoppers, and their high expectations for a fast and productive e-commerce experience.

"Today's website visitors are an impatient bunch -- they will devote only a few seconds to determining if your site has what they want or if it's worth continuing their search, before they desert you for a competitor's site," Hoffman said. "E-commerce businesses need to adapt to these changing user behaviors, and continually enhance their website's 'findability'."
