QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 8, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Eddyfi NDT Inc. has been granted financial assistance to intensify its foreign commercialization activities and improve its capacity to develop new products.

"By lending financial support to this Eddyfi project, the Government of Canada is demonstrating its firm commitment to fostering growth centred, most particularly, on innovation," said Minister Lebel.

Eddyfi NDT is a fast-growing young company specializing in the design, manufacture and sale of equipment for the non-destructive testing of metal structures for several major industries, including nuclear and power generation and petrochemical production. With this government assistance, Eddyfi NDT recently opened a subsidiary in France, Eddyfi Europe, to oversee the company's European sales and launch a new generation of products. This project will enable the enterprise to pursue its growth and create an expected 10 full-time jobs.
