Located at 3011 S 52nd Street, Suite 107 in Tempe, Arizona, the expansion is instrumental to the advancement of the local internet community by ensuring dynamic content delivery to local-market consumers.
Offering a new diverse dark fiber path, EdgeConneX provides secure connectivity between the Phoenix-IX node inside its local EDC and the Phoenix-IX core switches. This remote switch enables local EdgeConneX customers, including wireless carriers, service providers, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and enterprises, to have direct access to Phoenix-IX peering services as well as additional offerings, such as Multi-Lateral Peering Agreement (MLPA) route servers and private Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).

The internet exchange currently utilizes multiple Brocade Switches via Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and BIRD Route Servers with 24x7 monitoring of its peering fabric. Phoenix-IX, which is non-profit and maintained by volunteers, has been the market leader in participants and traffic for some time now.
