Edgell Communications Delivers Enhanced Lead-Generation Offerings to Technology Marketers

Leading Business-to-Business (BtoB) Media Company Enters Lead Scoring/Nurturing Business; Rolls Out New Lead Packages to Clients

RANDOLPH, NJ--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - Edgell Communications, a business-to-business media company, announces a major overhaul to its lead generation platforms and product offerings. Through these enhancements, the publisher of nine BtoB media properties is delivering technology marketers with on-demand access to leads and customized reporting options. At the same time, Edgell is now providing packages that allow customers to nurture leads generated through an Edgell sponsorship program.

"Edgell has been involved with lead generation for five years now and over the past few years, it's become very clear that the needs of technology marketers are changing," says Gerald Ryerson, president of Edgell Communications. "Marketers today are asking for quicker access to leads and customized reports. They are also turning to Edgell for greater insights into the leads generated. Through the release of its new lead system, Edgell is providing the following capabilities to technology marketing partners:

  1. Individualized lead portals that allow both customers and agencies to access leads on demand;
  2. Custom reporting options that allow customers to receive leads in formats that align with their customer relationship management (CRM), sales, and marketing processes;
  3. Custom question and polling capabilities that allow customers to further qualify leads during the generation process;
  4. Custom filtering options that allow customers to receive dedicated reports based on demographic selects, geography, and other customized filtering options;
  5. Personalized email delivery options that allow customers to decide how and when reports and alerts are delivered to their accounts.

Edgell's new lead generation platform will also improve the company's engagement with its audience, allowing Edgell to provide more targeted content and marketing materials to its readers.

In addition to the capabilities announced today, Edgell is also working on a SalesForce.com integration. The company plans to roll out this integration by Q3 2011.

"In some early demos, marketing partners made it clear that integrating with SalesForce.com was key to the success of our new platform," Ward says. "We'll roll out the SalesForce.com integration first and then will explore integrations with other CRM systems."
