Edgile Expands Executive Ranks to Bolster Growing GRC Practice

Appoints Kevin Berman Partner in Government, Risk, Compliance (GRC)

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Aug 9, 2016) - Edgile, a leading cybersecurity and risk consulting services firm, today announced the addition of Kevin Berman to its executive team as the West Region Partner in charge of Edgile's highly respected Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Practice. This announcement comes on the heels of Edgile's new Managed Security Services as the company executes on its expansion strategy.

The growth and diversity of cyber threats and highly publicized breaches have led to demands for regulatory measures based on best practices. As a result, the enterprise GRC market is expected to grow from $19.4B in 2016 to $38B by 2021 according to industry analyst estimates.

Mr. Berman joins Edgile from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he initiated and rapidly grew PwC's Global Performance GRC Practice. He subsequently oversaw the end-to-end GRC market strategy, resources and Fortune 500 client engagements while leading the practice in the West region.

Prior to PwC, Mr. Berman was a consultant with a leading GRC Technology provider, and a consultant within the KPMG Information Risk Management (IRM) Practice.

"Customer loyalty is the real engine behind Edgile's growth," said Don Elledge, Edgile CEO. "Kevin's deep subject matter expertise and command of customer requirements make him an ideal leader to drive the integration and expansion of Edgile's GRC capabilities across market segments."

"Edgile is a clear leader in the IT Risk and Security space with a stellar reputation for excellence and matching capabilities such as IAM, IT risk/security, and GRC content," said Kevin Berman. "The opportunity to add long-term sustainable value to clients in the market by expanding upon Edgile's GRC capabilities and offerings is significant."

Earlier this year, Edgile received a minority investment from ABRY Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, to help accelerate the company's expansion and leadership position. Edgile's steady growth and profitability can be attributed to its forward-looking, business-aligned security approach, which transforms the perception of cybersecurity from a risk reduction activity into a strategic imperative for its clients.
