SHELTON, CT--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2014) - CCAB, the Canadian division of BPA Worldwide, has released annual circulation and website data for its paid and non-paid daily newspaper members, including four of Canada's largest newspaper publishing groups: Sun Media, Torstar Corporation, TC Media and Free Daily News Group Inc.
Initial audits have been recently completed for 11 Metro titles across Canada. With 30 paid and 15 non-paid daily newspaper members, CCAB audits the most daily newspaper brands in Canada.
Circulation data covers the 12-month period for existing members (ending December 2013) and three-month period for incoming members (ending December 2013). Publishers of paid daily newspapers now report net unique recipient subscriptions served across multiple platforms in circulation reports and TRAC (Trend Report About Circulation). In addition, five daily newspapers have elected to report their newspaper brands' audited site traffic.
According to Bruce Neve, CEO, Starcom MediaVest Canada, and serving as Vice Chair on CCAB's Canadian Newspaper Advisory Board (CNAB) and a member of BPA's Corporate Board, "The timing of CCAB's data directly follows the release of PMB 2014 Spring database and coincides with the release of the latest Newspaper Audience Databank (NADbank) results. CCAB's coordinated release of daily newspaper data provides media buyers with concurrent circulation and readership data."
"We are delighted to have CCAB evolve their circulation reports and TRAC reporting to include each daily newspaper's FDSA accreditation," added Steve Angelevski, Vice President, Reader Sales and Service, Sun Media, as well as Chair of CNAB and a member of BPA's Corporate Board. "With the input from the Canadian newspaper advisory board and committees, CCAB continues to seek ways to help publishing members provide more meaningful information to media buyers."
