It Is Incorrect to Describe IMG as an "Agency"

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) -  IMG Worldwide (formerly International Management Group) was founded nearly 50 years ago by Mark McCormack as a sports representation firm. Over the course of that time he built the company into the largest and most successful sports representation agency in the world.

In 2004, private equity investor Ted Forstmann bought IMG. As a result of these actions, earnings for the company have increased nearly 500 percent. While IMG is still a major force in sports representation, the agency portion of our business is a very small part of the company's total businesses. In fact, because of the rapid growth from other ventures, less than 10% of IMG's profits are derived from the agency business.
