EdLink Selects Latisys for Highly Secure, Hybrid IT Infrastructure

Latisys Managed Hosting and Colocation Blended to Optimize SaaS Delivery of Leading Outsourced Tuition Management Service

ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - Latisys, a leading provider of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions spanning data center colocation, managed hosting, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, today announced an IT infrastructure services agreement with EdLink®, LLC -- the country's largest provider of corporate tuition assistance management services.

Serving a wide range of Fortune 500 and other corporations across a variety of industries, EdLink delivers secure online tuition program processing from start to finish, improving accuracy and efficiency -- all while increasing employee satisfaction and driving business results.

EdLink Direct™ enables businesses to efficiently manage corporate tuition administration and reimbursement via a secure, co-branded website. This paperless Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution manages every aspect of a clients' program, ensuring that policies and procedures are applied consistently, helping to minimize the cost and maximize the impact of tuition assistance programs.

Due to the sensitive nature of client employee data, financial data and tuition balance transactions, EdLink requires a highly secure IT infrastructure. And with a SaaS delivery model, EdLink's infrastructure must be reliable, resilient and scalable. Latisys' national IT Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform enables EdLink to deliver on its commitment to secure, reliable and on-demand tuition management, while at the same time ensuring for its clients a hybrid IT solution combining colocation and managed hosting for all of EdLink's hosted tuition management services.

Under terms of a multi-year agreement, EdLink's infrastructure is delivered from Latisys' SOC 2 and SOC 3 audited data centers in Denver, Co. as well as additional disaster recovery services delivered from Latisys' Chicago data center.

"Security is of absolute importance to our clients and their employees. Latisys' secure national platform, combined with the ability to develop IaaS solutions tailored to our unique demands, provides us with an ideal combination for our business needs," said John Zappa, CEO of EdLink. "Through our close collaboration with Latisys, we are able to achieve the high performance, scalable IT infrastructure solution required to support our rapidly growing SaaS business model."

"EdLink personifies a new breed of online business deploying hybrid IT infrastructure solutions with the goal of optimizing service delivery for their customers," said Pete Stevenson, CEO of Latisys. "Our national platform is engineered to rapidly deliver secure and flexible IaaS solutions, and we are committed to serving as a trusted business partner at every stop along the way."

With high-density data centers located in every U.S. time zone, Latisys's national reach enables multi-site redundancy, managed backup and secure disaster recovery including cloud-based DR solutions. Latisys' Tier III facilities are designed for the business continuity of mission-critical operations -- offering the power, cooling, backbone network and managed services with an eye toward reducing capital expenditures for storage and ongoing maintenance.

Late last year, Latisys opened DEN2 -- Latisys' newest state-of-the-art data center in Denver -- along with ASH1 DC5 and CHI2 data centers adding 22,000 and 10,000 sq. ft. of secure, ultra high-density raised floor in Northern Virginia and Chicago. In Southern California, Latisys recently announced an additional 12,000 square feet in its Irvine, CA data center, making Latisys the largest data center operator in Orange County. Latisys' total data center platform now exceeds 343,000 square feet across seven data centers in four major markets.
