RBC Dominion Securities to Occupy Two Floors of State-of-the-Art Tower in Downtown Edmonton

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2015) - The EAD Joint Venture announced today that RBC Dominion Securities (RBC DS) will become a major tenant of Edmonton Tower. RBC DS, a part of RBC Wealth Management Canada, is scheduled to occupy two floors of the 27 storey tower in 2018.

"We're privileged to have a respected Canadian organization like RBC Dominion Securities occupy a significant portion of the Edmonton Tower," said Glen Scott, Senior Vice President Real Estate, Katz Group. Set to open in fall 2016, the Edmonton Tower is a state-of-the-art, 27 storey structure that is an integral component of the Edmonton Arena District. Located at the corner of 101st St. and 104th Ave., the Tower is being built to LEED Gold standards and is currently 80 per cent leased with the City of Edmonton as its anchor tenant.

"RBC Dominion Securities is proud to be a part of the evolving landscape of downtown Edmonton," said David Agnew, CEO, RBC Wealth Management Canada. "The Edmonton Tower is a world-class facility with a central location ideal for our customers, employees, and partners. We're excited to begin serving our valued clients from our new space."

"The Edmonton Arena District is raising the bar for development in Canada and boasting sustainable features, modern aesthetics, and appealing architecture, the Edmonton Tower is no exception," said Darren Durstling, President and CEO of WAM Development Group. "We're delighted to see businesses planning to move into this building and contributing to the vibrant community being created in downtown Edmonton."

In addition to office space, the EAD will offer retail, residential, hotel and entertainment options, providing an exciting and dynamic community in the heart of downtown Edmonton.
