Additionally, Smith held the position of CFO with marketing consulting firm Peppers and Rogers Group and also served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer at Primedia, Inc., a leading media company. He started his career at The Bank of New York, where he rose to Senior Vice President of the bank's media lending division.

Smith is well-versed in the areas of strategic financial planning, capital markets, accounting/budgeting, fiscal operations, corporate tax as well as mergers and acquisitions, and has proven his skills in leading companies through the IPO process, restructuring accounting systems, implementing Sarbanes Oxley practices and rightsizing operations.
