Edward Hospital & Health Services Selects MEDSEEK to Implement Enterprise-Wide Physician, Patient, Consumer and Employee Portals

SOLVANG, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 26, 2006 -- MEDSEEK, a leading provider of enterprise e-health solutions, with 500-plus hospital clients around the country, announced today that Naperville, Ill.-based Edward Hospital & Health Services has selected its robust e-health platform to develop its consumer, patient, physician and employee portals. The three-year agreement for the 278-bed facility will integrate all four portals into an enterprise-wide solution that will enhance workflow efficiencies along the entire healthcare continuum.

The enterprise-wide project includes partners for third-party health information; Cardiff's LiquidOffice for business process management of integrated content and processes; and integration with CPM Marketing Group's leading customer relationship management solutions on the consumer and patient portal. The four portals include:

--  Consumer Portal - Utilizing MEDSEEK's SiteMakerE modules, the consumer
    portal will provide access to relevant and reliable health information,
    personal health records, reminders and alerts, online shopping, and e-
    cards, as well as convenient online registration for classes and job
    postings with the ability to respond online.
--  Physician Portal - The physician portal will provide improved
    information access, simplified workflow, reduced paperwork, and improved
    communications that will strengthen hospital-physician relationships and
    enhance patient-physician interaction.  The portal will provide single-sign-
    on information access using MEDSEEK's eConnect interfacing capabilities.
--  Patient Portal - To meet the demands and exceed the expectations of
    the empowered patient, MEDSEEK will implement web solutions that provide
    greater visibility and access into Edward's healthcare delivery process and
    system. The patient-centered approach will include services, such as secure
    messaging, to simplify communications and enhance the Patient, Physician,
    Hospital relationship. Additional web services will provide Patients with
    direct access to their personal medical records, prescription renewals,
    personalized health information and content, as well as the ability to
    schedule and pre-register for appointments online.
--  Employee Portal - The Employee portal will play a significant role in
    assisting the Edwards to recruit and to retain employees -- the hospital's
    most important and costly resource -- by providing a centralized
    information resource dedicated to the Employee. The employee portal will
    provide staff directories, policies and procedures, document sharing,
    benefits information and enrollment, internal job postings, employee
    recognition, patient census reporting, as well as general news and events.
Edward has assembled multidisciplinary teams of key stakeholders to spearhead the project, including IT, operations, HR, and individual teams for each of the four portals. They will also be guided by a physician advisory group and will seek community input from its consumer advisory committee for the consumer portal. The first phase of the project will consist of the consumer portal; it will link to all other portals upon its expected completion in December 2006. The patient portal is scheduled for completion in March 2007, and the physician portal in April 2007. In the final phase, the employee portal is expected to go live in March 2008.
