Edward Jones Engages Computershare as Trustee for Its Registered Plans

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 20, 2009) - Computershare Trust Company of Canada, part of the Computershare group of companies (ASX:CPU), has won the highprofile mandate to assume the role of trustee for Edward Jones' registered plan assets in Canada.

"The growth and complexity of our selfdirected registered plan portfolio prompted us to seek out a trustee solution that is more aligned with the needs of a large independent dealer," said Doug Bennett, Principal, Operations of Edward Jones in Canada. "Computershare's expertise in servicing independent nonbank owned brokerage firms will provide us with a flexibility and control that is more aligned with the needs of our business model - serving individual investors from singlebranch locations throughout Canada."

Computershare will take over as trustee of Edward Jones' broker registered assets effective immediately. "We are pleased that our established industry expertise and proactive approach to handling the detailed legislative and administrative requirements of registered plan assets have allowed us to add a large national investment dealer like Edward Jones to our client base," commented Stuart Swartz, Senior Vice President Corporate Trust, Computershare Trust Company of Canada.
