EEDC Hosts International Student Thanksgiving

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2012) - Students will celebrate thanksgiving with representatives from Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) for the International Student Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored by Enbridge, on October 4 at 5pm at Shaw Conference Centre (9797 Jasper Avenue).

"It is a privilege to host the Thanksgiving dinner to show our city's international students a Canadian tradition that everyone can celebrate," says Mike Wo, executive director of economic and business development, EEDC. "This is an opportunity to welcome international students, expose them to life in Edmonton, and to help them develop connections in the community. We want international students to consider Edmonton home now and when they graduate."

International students contribute significantly to Edmonton's economy, quality of life and awareness. Join us as we give thanks, celebrate all ambassadors for our city and country, and honour our students, their families, friends and home countries.

"We are appreciative of Enbridge's support and sponsorship of the Thanksgiving dinner. Our collaboration with local businesses and business leaders is important to us and to the success and prosperity of our economy," says Wo.

"We are very pleased to be partnering with EEDC at this celebratory event," says Linda Palladino, vice president, human resources and development of Enbridge. "We have many proud Edmontonians working for Enbridge, but we are also welcoming colleagues from all over the world, and their diversity of thought and experiences very much enriches our workplace."
