eEuroparts.com Officially Presenting Winter Driving Events -- Open Invite

WINDSOR, CT--(Marketwired - Dec 3, 2015) - eEuroparts.com®, a leading European auto parts online retailer, has announced a new partnership with Lime Rock Park as the official presenter of Winter Autocross Days and the new-for-2016 Winter Driving Schools.

In both programs, drivers get their cars sideways on two snow-covered autocross courses to practice car-control skills in a fun, safe way. One course is 1,200 feet, and the other nearly a half-mile in length, both located in Lime Rock's upper infield. Under the tutelage of professional coaches, and at relatively low speeds, drivers practice the nuances of understeer, oversteer, and traction-limited braking and acceleration. Besides having a tremendous amount of fun, all drivers will learn skills that make people much safer and more confident drivers in the real-world conditions of New England driving.

Lime Rock Park has large-capacity snowmaking and grooming equipment, and schedules weather-independent snow autocross days on most Fridays and Saturdays in January, February and early March (March dates are temperature-dependent). The Winter Autocross Days events are open to any licensed driver. A bonfire and a chalet for snacks and restroom breaks are part of the typical four-hour days.

eEuroparts.com® President and CEO Matt Moran sees his Windsor, Connecticut-based company as a natural collaborator with Lime Rock Park. "We see Lime Rock as the perfect partner moving forward as we work to provide one-of-a-kind experiences for our customers, friends, family and fans." The 15-year-old parts company is strategically located just five miles from Bradley International Airport. This also places them less than 50 miles from the historic Lime Rock racetrack, operated continuously since 1957. According to Moran, he and fellow eEuroparts.com® employees have attended Lime Rock events for decades, but 2015 is the first year they've worked directly with Lime Rock Park. "The Winter Autocross Days and Winter Driving Schools presented by eEuroparts.com® is an innovative way to bring a lively motorsports experience to customers in the dead of winter."

Indeed, the winter can be tough for New England driving enthusiasts. Most auto events in the Northeast wrap up by October, so once the temperature drops below freezing and snow blankets the asphalt, most enthusiasts have already put away their automobiles until the spring. Yet, Lime Rock and eEuroparts.com® are ensuring that drivers won't suffer from cabin fever this winter.

Lime Rock Park is a natural-terrain motorsport road-racing venue owned and operated by Skip Barber. A former racecar driver with a history of motorsport innovation and education, Skip founded the popular Skip Barber Racing School in 1975. Barber purchased his first stake in Lime Rock Park in 1983, and after selling the racing school in 1999, his focus has been solely on the racetrack. Since 2008, Lime Rock has undergone two multi-million dollar renovations under his care as Barber dramatically improves the fan and participant experience, including the advent of winter driving programs in late 2013.

eEuroparts.com® will be present at all Lime Rock winter driving events with their tent and usual assortment of goodies. Employees will also surely be taking some time to get "slideways" on the snow...
