EffectiveUI Partners With Boeing to Improve MyBoeingFleet User Experience for Its Customers

Customer Insight Will Drive the Overall Customer Experience for the New Portal

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - January 12, 2011) - EffectiveUI today announced Boeing (NYSE: BA), the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems, selected the award-winning user experience agency to transform the MyBoeingFleet portal into a more efficient, effective and easier-to-use customer experience.

Delivering Enhanced Usability to World's Largest Aviation Repository
MyBoeingFleet is the world's largest repository of aviation support services and products for Boeing airplanes. The secure portal gives pilots, flight operations specialists, maintenance personnel, procurement officers and engineers direct, personalized access to engineering drawings, service and operational procedures, and parts and kitting information that are integral to operating aircraft and managing a Boeing fleet.

MyBoeingFleet is currently a portal with more than 180 applications. Working with EffectiveUI, Boeing plans to consolidate features and integrate disparate systems. By designing one intuitive interface, EffectiveUI will ensure customers can easily find information, products and services in a consistent and efficient way.

User-Focused Approach Will Drive the Redesign
Boeing's goals include further reducing workloads, increasing efficiency and enabling faster decision-making for the portal users by creating an improved self-service channel and streamlined customer experience.

"EffectiveUI has an outstanding track record of taking large, complex sites and collections of information, and translating it into a seamless and tailored customer experience," Craig Savio, Director of eBusiness for Boeing Commercial Aviation Services. "The user-centric approach that they are known for provides the assurance that our customers' voices and needs will be incorporated into a world-class experience."

Positively Impacting MyBoeingFleet with Customer Insight
The redesign will be done in phases with customer insight and testing driving the design of the new portal. EffectiveUI will partner with Boeing employees, stakeholders and customers to understand and evaluate the current customer experience with MyBoeingFleet and to ensure the features and functions users find the most usable, useful and desirable are implemented into the final portal.

"We commend Boeing for recognizing the business and customer value of better user experiences and for taking the necessary steps to improve the customer experience," said Rebecca Flavin, CEO, EffectiveUI. "By taking the time to include their customers in the process, Boeing isn't guessing what their customers need. As we kick off the research phase of the redesign, clear needs of MyBoeingFleet users are emerging. With this information we can target our design and development efforts to create the most compelling and meaningful experience possible."
