EffectiveUI Recognized by Inc. 500 as One of Fastest Growing IT Services Companies in America

EffectiveUI Ranks No.55 on the 2009 Inc. 500 List With 3-Year Sales Growth of More Than 2,300 Percent

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - August 20, 2009) - Inc. magazine ranked Denver-based user experience design and development agency EffectiveUI No. 55 on its 28th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy -- America's independent-minded entrepreneurs. In making the list, EffectiveUI joins companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, GoDaddy, Under Armour, Jamba Juice, American Apparel, Oracle and hundreds of other powerhouses that have gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.

"We are thrilled to have our company recognized and included in this prestigious list of dynamic and innovative companies," said Rebecca Flavin, EffectiveUI's chief executive officer. "Much of the success of our company is the result of our talented employees, whose drive, creativity and passion for creating exceptional user experiences have transformed the way businesses and people are interacting with technology and each other."

EffectiveUI's founders recognized the need for companies to differentiate and better connect with their customers by creating more exceptional user experiences. The company's custom Web, mobile and desktop applications help organizations deliver exceptional cross-channel experiences through user-centered strategy, design and development that increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and utility and positively impact ROI.

An example of EffectiveUI's work is "The Complete National Geographic," a digitized compilation of the iconic 120-year-old magazine's content. National Geographic selected EffectiveUI as the project's designer and developer because of its talent in creating highly engaging and immersive user experiences.

"The National Geographic Society wanted to employ next-generation technologies to redefine and differentiate its product," said Bernice Chu, vice president of corporate strategy, development and interactive platforms for National Geographic Global Media. "We vetted a number of potential developers, and EffectiveUI was by far in pole position -- from critical thinking to creative problem-solving to positive word of mouth. We're confident that this partnership will deliver a consistent and exceptional user experience."

In addition to its overall Inc. 500 ranking, EffectiveUI is ranked No. 2 in the Denver-Aurora, Colo., region, No. 4 in IT Services and No. 5 in Top 10 Women-Run Companies.

"If you want to know which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500," said Inc. editor Jane Berentson. "These are the most dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones finding innovative solutions to problems, creating smart systems and inventing products we soon discover we can't live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine's tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition."

The 2009 Inc. 500 measures revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2005, and, therefore, able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of Dec. 31, 2008. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2005 is $200,000; the minimum for 2008 is $2 million.
